“There in Gokula, humility (dainya) and prema always arise within the hearts of the sādhus who see the forests [such as Vṛndāvana], the waters [such as the Yamunā], and the mountains [such as Govardhana] as if empty and desolate in the absence of Sri Krsna and his associates. They loudly cry “Hā! Hā! Alas ! Alas!” and burn with intense sorrow at heart as they search for their Beloved.”
