This landmark event marked the launch of a global campaign for a Non-Violent Green Economy. Dr Konstantin Pavlidis opened the conference by diagnosing the "modern violence" of our current systems—from Ecocide and data exploitation to the cognitive crisis fuelled by "mass distraction." Through a series of panels on Green AI and its societal implications, the gathering forged a multidisciplinary coalition dedicated to a single, unifying principle: harmonising our human systems with Natural Law (dharma).
Technology is a double-edged sword, promising utopia but often, delivering dystopia. In a keynote speech, Sri Prem Prayojan highlighted the creeping dangers of technology in a society based on the nihilistic attitudes of computationalism and mechanistic reductionism. Since piety precedes prosperity, without observing the scientific principles of spiritual advancement presented in Vedic literature, such as Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana, empirical science can offer no permanent benefit. Human life is too precious to be squandered in chasing dopamine. Every minute conscious being has a glorious eternal prospect, which is naturally realised when we become aligned with our intrinsic telos, sanatana dharma, devotional service to the unlimited conscious being.
Although the day’s agenda was punctually observed, when the panel discussions on technology, psychology and economics had reached satisfactory agreements, the owner of “The Indian Times”, Mr. Deepak Singh erupted with a spontaneous and unexpected request, “Sri Prem Prayojan, kindly return once again to the podium and tell us about Sri Krsna!”
Thus, the cares of the material world evaporated and the auditorium began to float in an unscheduled deluge of the glories of Sri Krsna’s Holy Names, teachings and pastimes, highlighting the inconceivable power of transcendental love. All the distinguished guests were touched to the core of their hearts and inspired to collaborate with Chaitanya Academy in future events.
